Christmas Time Is Here!
The Boys were dying to do the tree this year. So, I put MY creativity aside and let them have at it. They had their own collection of ornaments all in one clump hanging on the tree. It was hilarious watching them place them just so, with so much thought. So the next day disaster struck. The tree lights were out. I replaced a few strands and still nothing. So we had to undo the tree and get more lights. The boys were in town with Jeff Saturday and I decided to re-light and re-decorate the tree to surprise them. Yeah, not a good idea, they didn't like the white lights and I didn't put everything back just right. Other then that, it was a great night and we even invited Grandpa and Grandma over for the decorating fun and had leftovers from Thanksgiving dinner. I love Christmas time.
The boys made these in pre-school and just love comparing the change each year. |

It was Grants turn to top the tree this year. |

We celebrated Thanksgiving with the Dahl's this year. Candi just had knee surgery so Anna and I served up dinner. We had a blast. I forgot the camera once again, so Anna got these mobile pics thankfully! The boys were busy playing football and video games while Anna and I were in the kitchen all day. It gave me a window of what our mothers have done for years. I love the holidays and I am so thankful for my family. We are blessed.

Happy Birthday Grant
Grant's request for his party was to do the annual dinner and movie with his best friend, Luke, from preschool. They've been friends for seven years. Grant's other request for dinner was the Outback....he LOVES steak. The movie was Puss In Boots. The rest of the Dahl's joined us too, including Auntie Anna and Chris who escaped the camera somehow. Ruby went to stay with Auntie Jen for the evening, her first ever "non-Gradma" stay!

A Special Day
Ten years ago today, I became a mom. God blessed me with this special boy and I cannot imagine what my life would be like today without him. Grant turns ten today and my heart rejoices over what God has done in his heart, who God has made him to be. I get glimpses of the kind of man he might become and I am so bless. I love his care and concern for others. I love his tender heart towards everyone he encounters. I love his generosity. And most of all I love his love towards the Lord. Thank you Father, for my first born blessing. I praise you for your faithfulness. Happy Birthday Grant!

Grandpa and Grandma took Grant to the Space Needle and the beach for his pre-birthday party treat! He was so excited and miss him so much today. Next weekend we celebrate with the big ten year old! |

A Few Quotes From The Dahl's
- "I can feel the evaporation(vibration) in my bum." -Tucker says while we drive by someone with way too much bass.
- "Mom, can you turn it to a slow song? I want to try to cry." -Hudson
- "Don't you feel like I'm the main one in my class? I don't know why but it just feels like that to me." -Grant
- "I don't feel so well today.....I feel like a smashed pumpkin." -Tucker
- "I don't like to lie, because when I do, I feel so sick when I wake up the next day." -Grant
- Tucker was talking to Jeff about his best friend, Lily. He was explaining how she "got him into trouble". He finishes with, "I didn't think Lily was that kind of girl."
- And I'm proud to announce Ruby rolled over!!

An Afternoon With The Dahl's
We spent the afternoon out at "the farm", a few acres that Jeff's grandparents live on out in Gleed. His grandparents are in their mid-nineties and love all the life that our family brings.....a little too much maybe! We love spending time with them and with the rest of the Dahl clan. Auntie Anna took these pictures on our walk with the boys and Ruby. I love Sundays!

Looking back at these pictures reminds me of how fast our kids grow. I love the blogging for the purpose of having memories on record. I used to scrap book, but I find this way more accessible. So, I wanted to get Ruby's birth day on here. So, here are a few pictures my sweet sister in law Jen took on Ruby's birthday.
